Farm Source supports the community through a number of regional sponsorships that promote sustainable dairying and the industries continued growth. Farm Source supports projects, ideas and initiatives that bring rural communities together to make them more vibrant and connected places to live and work in.
The Farm Source team want to help farmers progress their careers and grow their business so we are proud to sponsor the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards (NZDIA) which encourage and reward best practice in the industry.
The NZDIA showcase and support New Zealand farmers of the future by providing an opportunity for entrants to demonstrate a wide range of skills and abilities. One of the greatest benefits they receive is a free analysis of their business by the three judges who visit their farm which is hugely valuable in enabling them to push their business further and lift performance or profitability.
The national competition is comprised of three sections - Sharemilker/Equity Farmer of the Year, Farm Manager of the Year and Dairy Trainee of the Year.
Quite apart from the knowledge entrants gain they also have the chance to earn a regional or national title, and to share in substantial regional and national prize pools.
See more information about the NZDIA and how to enter visit www.dairyindustryawards.co.nz.
Farm Source sponsor the Dairy Women's Network (DWN) regional groups based across the country.
Regional meetings regularly bring women in dairying together to network and learn from experts and each other. Topics discussed have included: milk quality compliance, fertiliser planning, tax planning, leadership development and compliance information.
